Today is the day that the Lord has made....

Let us rejoice and be glad in it.  My day today started out around 3 am. For some strange reason my 1 year old decided it was time to wake up.... So, I laid there for about 10 minutes hoping and praying he would go back to sleep. Well, that didn't work so I scooped him up shortly after my dear hubby threw a pillow at his crib. Yes, the baby sleeps in our room.  I proceeded to the rocker and we both had just dozed off when my 7 year old enters the room. I tell you, he about gave me a heart-attack! Have you ever been half asleep and felt a cold breeze enter the room, kinda scary isnt it? I honestly dont know who was more scared. Me, when I opend my eyes and saw him standing there or him, when I screamed... LOL  Luckily the baby slept through the trauma and we all returned to our beds. Even though I was not happy about being up that early,  it was sure funny hearing Gavin retell the story this morning. My children bring me such great joy. They are defiantly a blessing from the Lord!

My morning began (again) around 7:30. Gavin had a fever last night so I decided to let him stay home from school today and his daddy took him to the doctor. See, there is another blessing. Daddy was home to assist in that while Dez and I ran to the grocery store. Im sure Gavin would not have wanted to tackle Walmart with us as he was diagnosed with the Flu at his appointment today. :(  I love shopping with Destiny!!  She is so much help to me when we go and is learning valuable lessons about what it is like to be a keeper of the home. Today she brought her camera along and caught some of the action. All in all some days run more smoothly than others but we should count our blessings in times of trial. If we focus on the positive rather than the negative we have the power to defeat satan and allow Gods light in us to shine more brightly in this world.

  1. I was sent over here by Destiny. :) I believe my poor Mum could sympathize with you, concerning babies awake in the morning. ;)

On one of my babysitting excursions, I half dropped a plate I was washing when the supposed-to-be-sleeping four-year-old promptly walks in stating there were spiders ready to eat her...

Hope your blog is a success!

    Blessings,

    Bethany
